Context

Requirements

Effective August,12 2024, merchants must provide the following data fields in their authentication request

device data
1. IP address.
2. width and high of the screen.
cardholder data
1. name.
2. email address or phone number.

Exclusion

The minimum data requirements do not apply if there are local data privacy regulations that prohibit the data field from being shared.

Benefits

When merchants provide these data :

Merchants see an authentication success rate lift of +4% and an approval rate lift of +6%.
Issuers can see a +65% fraud detection rate lift.
